Ethan Ng

Director, Oil Markets, Midstream & Downstream Consulting

Ethan Ng is a Director of Energy Consulting at S&P Global Commodity Insights for the Oil Markets, Midstream and Downstream practice in Asia Pacific.

Ethan has advised a wide variety of clients including national oil companies and international oil majors in his roles at McKinsey and Wood Mackenzie on refining and petrochemicals. He has nearly 15 years of consulting, commercial and technical experience in the oil and gas industries. Ethan also led commercial and business development engagements in oil storage and logistics at Vopak in Asia Pacific. Overall, he has acquired a wealth of experience working with management teams on strategy,  acquisitions and operational solutions.  Prior to joining S&P Global, Ethan was the Head of Energy, Chemicals and Materials division at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) where he led long-range planning for Singapore's energy and chemicals sector. Ethan began his career with ExxonMobil in Singapore as he had received ExxonMobil Public Scholarship for his undergraduate studies. He has advised the plant management on the financial performance of the two refineries in Singapore and built his technical expertise on refinery processes.

He holds a bachelor in chemical engineering from National University of Singapore as well as an MBA from the University of Manchester.
