Richard Morrison is writer/editor for US agriculture policy at S&P Global Energy.

Richard covers developments in US agriculture, trade, and energy policy out of S&P Global Energy Washington, DC office. His areas of expertise include the US farm bill, US Department of Agriculture (USDA), World Trade Organization (WTO) and broader issues related to agriculture including biofuels, commodity markets and environmental regulation. He maintains a keen interest in the intersection of politics and economics, a passion of his since before college. Since joining S&P Global Energy , Richard has written extensively on the effect that government policy and market dynamics have on the agriculture and food sectors - in the US and globally.

Richard is a native of rural central Virginia and received his BS in Economics from George Mason University.
