Gil is a Director in S&P Global Commodity Insights's Downstream Consulting organization. He has provided consulting services to clients in the U.S. and abroad for over 10 years, assisting with market analysis, project evaluations, due diligence assignments, and other strategic projects in the midstream and downstream sectors of the industry. Prior to joining S&P Global he had 25 years of refining industry experience including operations, project design and development, and refinery and corporate economics/planning with Conoco and Valero.

Gil has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden Colorado, as well as a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
