Emilie Gubian

Principal Economist

Emilie Gubian is a Principal Economist, working in the Performance Evaluator team.

She has 10 years of research and consulting experience in the energy industry. At S&P Global, Ms. Gubian develops and manages the Reserves and Economics module of Performance Evaluator, an IHS Markit proprietary data visualization tool that allows users to identify investment opportunities within the conventional and unconventional plays of North America. Ms. Gubian published several memos on the topic and has become an expert in dissecting trends and patterns in onshore and unconventional well economics. Prior to this role, she managed the development of core features of the fiscal engine of another visualization tool, S&P Global Vantage, which allows users to analyze any international upstream development. Ms. Gubian has also developed expertise related to macro-level supply and demand trends of oil field services throughout the upstream value chain. Prior to joining S&P Global, Ms. Gubian was with another consulting firm, where her focus was strategic and economic analyses for a multitude of clients throughout the energy value chain, including upstream fiscal analysis and modeling. Ms. Gubian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the NEOMA Business School and a Master of Science degree from the IFP School.
