Stephen Adams is an associate director in the Upstream Natural Resources Consultancy at S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Stephen is an expert in upstream oil and gas economics, cost analysis and petroleum fiscal systems. He leads financial modeling and analysis endeavors to inform clients about asset valuations, decision analytics and fiscal policy solutions. With more than 15 years of experience as a petroleum economist, he has advised government ministries, businesses, consortiums and other oil and gas investors in every region of the world. He has been published by federal and state agencies in the U.S. for his work regarding petroleum economics and tax policy for conventional resources, unconventional resources and carbon sequestration. He also provides industry activity and market outlooks for oil, gas, and power.

Stephen holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
