Boston Scientific Corp. and Boston Scientific Neuromodulation Corp. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Nevro Corp. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, almost two weeks after Nevro filed a similar lawsuit against the company.
Boston Scientific's counterclaim alleges that Nevro's Senza pain relief system infringes on the company's patents on technology related to stimulation leads, batteries and telemetry units.
The Massachusetts-based medical device company is seeking unspecified damages and legal fees in addition to preliminary and permanent injunction against further infringement, according to a Form 8-K filed by Nevro.
On Nov. 28, California-based Nevro filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Boston Scientific in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California alleging that Boston Scientific infringed Nevro's patent covering its Senza system and HF10 therapy for pain relief.
