Sparkasse Fürstenfeldbruck scraps planned merger with two peers

Sparkasse Fürstenfeldbruck has dropped its plan for a three-way merger with Sparkasse Landsberg-Dießen and Sparkasse Dachau, and concluded negotiations on the matter June 28.

The talks lasted for nearly a year and a half, with the idea first mooted in the fourth quarter of 2016. During the negotiations in early 2018, a two-way merger with Sparkasse Dachau was discussed after Sparkasse Landsberg-Dießen had already withdrawn from the deal.

However, Sparkasse Dachau also decided to eventually withdraw, Sparkasse Fürstenfeldbruck said in a statement June 29.
