CubeSmart's 78,700-square-foot store at 6130 E. Ben White Blvd. in Austin, Texas, received LEED Platinum certification.

The self-storage real estate investment trust said the property earned more points under the LEED v4 O+M: Warehouses and Distribution Centers rating system than any other property in the state of Texas.

The company added that it is taking part in Austin Energy's GreenChoice Program to make sure that any additional energy purchases for the property will be fully sourced from Texas wind-generated power facilities.
