AHarmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd.employee died of injuries sustained from a material handling accident thatoccurred July 15 at the company's Joel gold mine in South Africa, the gold producer saidin a July 19 statement.

Investigationsinto the accident are underway.

Just lastmonth, a Harmony Gold employee was also killed in an underground accident at the company'sPhakisa mine.

HarmonyGold recently reported that its gold production for its fiscal 2016 ended June30, was on target atabout 1.1 million ounces while its underground gold grades have improved by 6%from a year earlier to an average 5.02 g/t.
