Avnel Gold Mining Ltd. said Jan. 18 that it raised C$13.1 million via an exercise of warrants.

The warrants were issued with a private placement in July 2014.

Avnel's flagship is the Kalana gold mine in Mali, which it plans to develop from a small underground mine to a low-cost open-pit operation.
