PrudentialFinancial Inc. appointed Sara Bonesteel chief investment officer for retirement, Pensions & Investments reported July21, citing a spokeswoman.

Bonesteel was head of portfolio strategy in the company'schief investment officer office, a role which Alfred Lerman will assume,according to the report. Lerman was a managing director and head of investmentanalytics and policy group in the same office.
