Solvay grosses €1.00 billion from debt offering

Solvay SA raised gross proceeds of €1.00 billion from an offering of floating rate senior unsubordinated unsecured notes due Dec. 1, 2017.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, redemption or repayment of debt securities, and acquisitions or investments.

Commerzbank AG, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd., ING Bank NV's Belgium branch, KBC Bank NV and Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC were the lead underwriters.
