Goldcorp completes Exeter Resource acquisition

Goldcorp Inc. completed the acquisition of all the remaining common shares of Exeter Resource Corp. that it did not already own via a plan of arrangement, according to an Aug. 2 release.

Exeter shareholders will receive 0.12 of a Goldcorp share for each Exeter share held.

Following the deal completion, Exeter will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldcorp.

The Supreme Court of British Columbia approved the arrangement in its final order Aug. 1. The transaction remains subject to final exchange approval.

Exeter's shares are expected to be delisted from the TSX by Aug. 8 and will promptly be delisted from the NYSE MKT and Frankfurt Stock Exchange following closing.
