New Gold Inc. on Dec. 19 said Hannes Portmann was promoted as its new president from being the company's executive vice president for business development.

Furthermore, Raymond Threlkeld, a New Gold director, was named interim COO after David Schummer stepped down from the post after joining the company in 2014.
