Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. entered into a strategic partnership with Michigan-based McLaren Health Care Corp. to collaborate on health service and pharmacy offerings.

According to an Oct. 17 release, McLaren plans to launch a variety of health care services, including retail health care clinics, urgent care centers and primary care sites in Walgreens locations across Michigan.

Walgreens will also run a number of onsite pharmacies following the purchase of McLaren's prescription files and pharmacy inventory assets.

In addition, McLaren patients, health plan members and employees will be able to access Walgreens prescription services at any Walgreens or McLaren location.
