The Bank of Nova Scotia appointed Sasson Darwish global head of software investment banking, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Darwish most recently was managing director at Royal Bank of Canada and oversaw infrastructure software, artificial intelligence, internet of things and digital media transactions, the report said, citing his LinkedIn profile.
Darwish will join the bank in June.
In addition, Royal Bank of Canada's technology banker, David Mulliken, will move to Scotiabank as managing director.
Mulliken focused on security and infrastructure software deals at Royal Bank of Canada, the report said.
A representative for Royal Bank of Canada declined to comment, while Bank of Nova Scotia did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to the news outlet.
