Amgen Inc. launched a seven-year environmental sustainability plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2027, which includes reducing water usage by 40% and waste disposal by 75%.
To achieve these goals, the company will invest $200 million and focus on the use of innovative technologies to reduce carbon emissions from its operations.
Where carbon emissions cannot be eliminated from operations, the company plans to invest in projects that avoid greenhouse gas emissions. Amgen also plans to work with suppliers to reduce carbon emissions across its value chain.
