In 2023, the US Market's regular aggregated dividend grew by 5.9% despite the turbulence in the economy caused by persistent inflation, high interest rates, and geopolitical risks.
Last year was marked by noticeable rifts from banks and commercial real estate, which continues to raise questions for 2024. Nevertheless, both sectors remain among the five highest dividend growth drivers.
While uncertainty around inflation pullback and interest rate cuts persist, we expect to see the payouts increase in US markets, led by four sectors: energy, banks, pharmaceuticals, and real estate.
In this webinar, S&P Global experts will explore sector-specific potential upsides and risks
Key highlights:
• How will sluggish economic expectations impact dividend payouts during the election year?
• Probability of credit rating deterioration and how it can impact dividend sustainability?
• How well-prepared are financial institutions to navigate regulatory challenges and withstand the pressure of low growth?
