US and global methane emissions continued to climb in 2025, IEA said

The International Energy Agency's annual Global Methane Tracker said nations that pledged to rein in methane emissions have largely failed to implement policies to reduce the potent greenhouse gas. US methane emissions rose nearly 9% in 2025.
