BNP bullish on hitting capital target early, higher returns in new strategy

The French banking giant believes it is on course to deliver a common equity Tier 1 capital ratio of 13% by the end of 2026, 12 months earlier than previously targeted, which could allow for more generous shareholder distributions in its new plan.
