Gray Television Inc. extended its affiliation agreements with Telemundo Network Group LLC for its TV stations in 12 markets, including Atlanta, Honolulu and seven markets in Texas.
The new agreement also allows Gray to expand the local Telemundo affiliations to its television stations in 22 more markets across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, a May 3 statement said.
The affiliation expansion will extend Gray's Telemundo footprint to 34 markets, serving over 3.75 million Hispanic audiences. This coincides with the upcoming launch of the new "Telemundo Georgia" network of local stations, which will initially distribute the signal of Telemundo Atlanta, or WKTB.
Telemundo Network Group is a unit of Comcast Corp.
