Virginia-based United Bank names president

Virginia-based United Bank promoted Julie Gurtis to president, effective April 1.

Gurtis, currently executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer, will replace outgoing President Michael Fitzgerald, who will become vice chairman of the board.
