Google LLC plans to spend almost $700 million to further develop an office complex in Warsaw, Poland, according to a March 7 announcement.
The Alphabet Inc. unit moved into the complex, named the Warsaw Hub, and opened a new cloud data region in the city in 2021, according to Magdalena Kotlarczyk, Google's country director for Poland. The new cloud region reportedly entailed a $2 billion investment.
Kotlarczyk said the new Warsaw Hub investment would expand Google's office capacity in Poland to house 2,500 employees. Google currently employs 1,000 people in the country.
