Swedish private equity firm EQT AB (publ) will make a growth investment of about $100 million in Israel-based global cybersecurity company CYESEC LTD. through its EQT Mid Market Europe Fund.
As part of the deal, CYESEC Founder and CEO Reuven Aronashvili will keep a substantial interest in the business and will continue to lead the company.
The transaction, which marks EQT Private Equity's first investment in Israel, is slated to close in February.
Separately, EQT's EQT VI Fund sold its stake in Copenhagen-based variety retailer Flying Tiger Copenhagen to investment firm Treville.
FIH Partners, Goldman Sachs and Accura were advisers to EQT.
