Chief Economist, Emerging Markets
Elijah Oliveros-Rosen is the Chief Economist, Emerging Markets for Latin America at S&P Global Ratings. He forecasts the main macroeconomic variables for major countries in the region, which are used by S&P Global analysts during the ratings process. He also publishes work on the outlook for emerging economies, as well as on other topics pertaining to the region.
Before joining S&P Global, Elijah was a Latin America Country Risk Analyst at BMI Research, where he conducted macroeconomic forecasts and published commentary on breaking developments. He also held the role of lead Latin America financial markets strategist at BMI Research, in which he identified investment opportunities across FX, Fixed Income, and Equities.
Elijah received his bachelor’s degree in International Economics from the University of Richmond and his master’s degree in Global Finance, Trade, and economic integration from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.

Mariano De Lellis is a Corporate Engagement Specialist in the Americas for S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
Mariano De Lellis is a Corporate Engagement Specialist in the Americas for S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). He has been with the company for eight years, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and previously worked at Horizons and S&P Global Market Intelligence as an ESG Editor, Translator, and Project Manager.
Mariano is an English/Spanish Certified Translator and is currently a professor of translation studies in Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the University of Buenos Aires Law School. He also holds a graduate degree in journalism from USAL and a diploma in communication of sustainable projects from the National Technological University in Argentina.
Mariano actively participates in S&P Global’s People Resource Groups (PRGs), which promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is currently the President of the Pride PRG in Argentina, where he advocates for LGBTQ+ rights.

Rafael is a director in the Economics and Country Risk Group for Global Insight at S&P Global Market Intelligence. He brings 20 years of international experience in macroeconomic and sovereign risk analysis of Latin America gained over a long career tracking economic developments and business cycles of the region with a focus on risks for medium- and long-term investment. He coordinates the group's analysis and forecasts and is responsible for reporting on Peru, Mexico, and Brazil. As a sovereign risk expert, he closely monitors and tracks the repayment capacity of Latin American economies, assessing both short- and long-term risks. Before joining S&P Global Market Intelligence, he served as the country risk manager for Hamilton Bank. Previously, he was a research associate at the Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida, US.
