Director, Head Long-Term Forecasting
Ryland supervises the long-term Global Crops and Livestock Services along with the monthly update of the quarterly price forecast. He is directly responsible for global sugar and cotton forecasts. Other duties include forecasts and publication of the Global Crops Cost of Production Service.
Ryland received his MBA and his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, US.

Director, Global Head of Crops and Proteins
Ryan Urie is Director, Head of Global Crops & Proteins at S&P Global Energy, where he leads global coverage and analysis of agricultural and protein markets. In this role, he oversees research and market intelligence across crops and proteins, supporting customers with insights into supply, demand, pricing, trade flows and market developments across the global food and agriculture value chain.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Ryan held leadership positions spanning commodity pricing, market analysis, sales and agribusiness operations. His background includes roles across the protein and food sectors, providing a practical understanding of the market dynamics affecting producers, processors, traders and end users. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.
