Sedgwick acquires Netherlands-based medical advisory business

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. acquired Netherlands-based Medisch Advies Schadeclaims, or Medas, including Medisch Advies Groep, or MAG.

Medas is a medical consulting firm that specializes in the entire medical process during the course of claims and advises on personal injury, disability insurance, life insurance, medical liability and occupational diseases claims.

The acquired entity will join Sedgwick's Netherlands-based medical and labor affairs department. Martin de Haan, general manager for Sedgwick in the country, will lead the combined team.
