Imperial Metals Corp. said March 15 that it has acquired a 30% interest in the GJ copper-gold property in British Columbia from its joint venture partner Newcrest Red Chris Mining Ltd., a subsidiary of Newcrest Mining Ltd., for C$3.0 million.
The GJ property, comprised of 87 mineral tenures covering 39,432 hectares, will be included in the Red Chris copper-gold joint venture.
Newcrest acquired the GJ property from Skeena Resources Ltd. for C$7.5 million in May 2020.
