Hamilton Lane Inc. launched Hamilton Lane Private Assets Fund, its first evergreen product offering available to qualified U.S. investors, including high-net-worth individuals and their wealth advisers.
The investment firm seeded the fund with $30 million from its balance sheet, together with $100 million in additional capital from an unnamed anchor investor.
The vehicle seeks to invest in a combination of secondaries, direct investments and coinvestments in credit and equity across geographies, industries, vintages and general partners. It aims to generate capital appreciation in the medium and long term.
Hamilton's Global Private Assets Fund, launched in May 2019, was only offered to non-U.S. investors, including those in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and some parts of Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
