South Africa's Grindrod resumes plans to sell banking unit – Bloomberg

South African freight and logistics company Grindrod Ltd. revived plans to sell Grindrod Bank Ltd., Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Grindrod, which shelved plans to sell its banking business in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is in talks with potential local and international buyers, the sources said.

Grindrod declined to comment, the April 22 report noted.
