iBoxx GBP Breakeven 10-Year Inflation Index

Description

The iBoxx GBP Breakeven 10-Year Inflation Index is designed to measure breakeven inflation through long positions in index-linked Gilts and short positions in Gilts with adjacent durations in the U.K. The index includes GBP-denominated sovereign bonds issued by the British government, with a minimum amount outstanding of GBP 1 billion for index-linked Gilts and GBP 2 billion for nominal Gilts. Securities must have a remaining time to maturity of at least one year at rebalancing. The index must contain at least six index-linked Gilts and six nominal Gilts, with maximum 30% weight in any single index-linked Gilt within the index-linked Gilt portion and to any nominal Gilt within the nominal Gilts portion at rebalancing. The nominal Gilt position is constructed in a way that the index duration is neutralized.
