The iBoxx EUR Sovereigns Italy & Spain Fixed Maturity 2029 Index measures the performance of EUR-denominated sovereign bonds issued by Italy and Spain with maturity dates between Oct. 1, 2028, and Sept. 30, 2029. At each rebalancing, bond weights are capped at 20% (subject to adjustment in cases of insufficient eligible bonds), while in the final year the bond capping is not applied. During the final year, proceeds from maturing bonds are moved into euro-denominated sovereign bills with one- to three-month maturities.
