iBoxx EUR Sovereigns Eurozone Yield Plus Interest Rate Hedged Index
Description
The iBoxx EUR Sovereigns Eurozone Yield Plus Interest Rate Hedged Index is designed to measure the performance of investment grade, EUR-denominated sovereign debt from the five highest-yielding Eurozone member countries. Eligible bonds have a minimum amount outstanding of EUR 2 billion and a remaining time to maturity of at least 1 year at the rebalancing date. The index combines long positions in the Markit iBoxx EUR Sovereigns Eurozone Yield Plus Index with short positions in Euro-Schatz, Euro-Bobl and Euro-Bund front month quarterly futures contracts to achieve zero duration through interest rate hedging.
