HDFC Bank deputy managing director resigns

Paresh Sukthankar stepped down as deputy managing director of HDFC Bank Ltd.

Sukthankar's resignation will take effect after 90 days, the bank said Aug. 10.

According to The Times of India, Sukthankar, who first joined the bank in 1994, was considered the likely successor to the Indian bank's chief executive and managing director Aditya Puri.
