Real estate investment trusts and the broader markets closed out the week slightly lower Friday, June 15, as the Trump administration's plans to impose 25% tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese goods spurred fears of a global trade war.
Office and multifamily REIT Mack-Cali Realty Corp. said Mitchell Rudin is stepping down as vice chairman to explore other opportunities.
Mack-Cali Realty shares gained 0.56% to close at $19.80.
Casino REIT MGM Growth Properties LLC raised its quarterly dividend to 43 cents per share for the second quarter.
MGM Growth shares slipped 0.10%, closing at $30.37.
Casino REIT Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. implemented a majority voting standard in uncontested director elections and removed provisions in its bylaws governing its board declassification process.
Gaming and Leisure shares dropped 0.23% to close at $35.16.
In the shopping REIT sector, former Retail Properties of America Inc. Senior Vice President of Finance Michael Fitzmaurice joined RAMCO as executive vice president, CFO and secretary, effective June 18.
RAMCO shares declined 0.47% to close at $12.71, and Retail Properties of America shares dipped 1.46% to end the day at $12.80.
