France's trade deficit widened to €5.54 billion in April from €4.78 billion in March, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies.
Exports declined to €38.28 billion from €39.49 billion the previous month, and imports decreased to €43.81 billion from €44.27 billion.
The current account deficit widened to €3.06 billion in April from €2.07 billion the previous month. The goods trade deficit increased to €3.75 billion from €3.37 billion, and the services trade surplus narrowed to €83 million in April from €630 million in March.
