The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear Apple Inc.'s appeal of a lower court ruling that found the tech giant in violation of federal antitrust laws, Reuters reported June 18.
The lower court ruling revived a proposed class-action lawsuit filed by iPhone buyers that accused the company of monopolizing the market for iPhone apps and making consumers pay more than they should.
While developers set the prices for the apps, Apple charges developers a 30% commission on each purchase.
