Novation Companies Inc. completed its stock purchase agreement with Georgia-based Healthcare Staffing Inc. on July 27 for $24 million cash, according to an Aug. 2 regulatory filing.

Additionally, the company closed its agreement with Butler America LLC, which owned Healthcare Staffing, to eliminate a $240,000 indemnification escrow, reimburse Butler of $100,000 in costs and expenses and clarify Healthcare Staffing's outstanding tax obligations.
