Deutsche Bank names SSA origination chair

Deutsche Bank AG named Maryam Khosrowshahi chair of supranational, sovereign and agencies origination, Thomson Reuters' IFR reported, citing an internal memo.

Khosrowshahi, who will continue as head of the bank's sub-Saharan Africa region within the financing and solutions group, will work closely with Deutsche Bank's supranational, sovereign and agencies origination and syndicate teams.

Khosrowshahi will also work closely with Petri Kivinen, who has joined the German lender from Morgan Stanley as head of bond origination for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to the newswire. Khosrowshahi and Kivinen will report to the co-heads of the bank's financing and solutions group for CEEMEA, Zoltan Kurali and Faisal Rahman.

Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank named Asif Karmally a managing director in Dubai reporting to Rahman, according to the report. Karmally, who rejoined the bank from Goldman Sachs Group Inc., will be responsible for structured products origination in the United Arab Emirates.
