Netflix Inc.'s streaming service will not be part of Apple Inc.'s upcoming video service, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said at a press event.
Talking to reporters, Hastings said the company has decided not to "integrate with their service," Reuters reported March 19. Regarding competition, Hastings said the challenge for Netflix will be to "not get too distracted" by rivals but still "learn lessons" from them.
Apple is expected to unveil a new streaming television service and a bundled subscription Apple News offering at a March 25 event. The service is expected to include subscription TV offerings from CBS Corp., Viacom Inc. and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.'s Starz, an earlier report said.
