T-Mobile USInc. has partnered with a Cuban telecommunications company to lowerthe cost of calls to landlines and wireless phones in Cuba in response to ahigh level of interest in the country from T-Mobile subscribers, the carriersaid May 9.

Pursuit to an agreement between T-Mobile and Empresa DeTelecomunicaciones De Cuba SA, customers of T-Mobile's Simple Choice in the U.S.will be able to call landlines and wireless phones in Cuba for 60 cents perminute, a 65% reduction over prior rates, T-Mobile said. Additionally,beginning this summer, T-Mobile customers will also be able to use voice, textand data during any travels to Cuba.
