Ørsted to redeem callable subordinated capital securities

Danish offshore wind developer Ørsted A/S will redeem on Feb. 7 all of the outstanding aggregate principal amount of its €600 million of 3.0% callable subordinated capital securities due 3015, of which €76.3 million is now outstanding.

The securities will be redeemed at their principal amount plus accrued but unpaid interest from Nov. 6, 2019, until the redemption date, and any outstanding payments.

In November 2019, Ørsted priced €600 million in green hybrid capital securities to refinance €600 million of existing 3.0% hybrid capital securities issued in 2015, which is callable at par between Aug. 10, 2020, and Nov. 6, 2020. The securities have a fixed coupon rate of 1.75%.
