Norsk Hydro ASA said it is working to restart IT systems in a safe manner following the recent cyberattack. However, it is still not clear how long it might take to restore stable IT operations.

The company expects to restart certain systems at the extruded solutions and rolled products operations soon, which would allow for continued deliveries to customers, it said March 20.

The Norwegian aluminum major reported an extensive cyberattack March 19 affecting several areas, which impacted IT systems in most divisions.
