Eramet to sell manganese chemicals unit for US$190M

Eramet on Dec. 12 said it is selling its manganese chemicals unit ERACHEM to U.S. firm PMHC II Inc. for approximately US$190 million, as part of its asset disposal program.

The deal includes several subsidiaries of Gabonese entity COMILOG, which is 63.71% controlled by Eramet.

Closing of the transaction is subject to certain regulatory approvals and is expected to occur before the end of the year.

Eramet also recently announced the sale of its Eurotungstene subsidiary to Umicore, with the deal expected to close in the first half of 2017.

Eurotungstene operates a facility in France dedicated to developing, producing and marketing metal powders and pre-alloys.
