Pennsylvania-based coal producer Consol Energy Inc. named Mitesh Thakkar as interim CFO, effective Jan. 1.

Thakkar will take over from David Khani, who resigned as the company's executive vice president, CFO and treasurer on Dec. 31, 2019. On Jan. 3, EQT Corp. announced that Khani had joined the company as CFO.

The company said Jan. 3 that it is considering internal and, if necessary, external candidates as it searches for Khani's permanent replacement.
