Platts discontinues sulfuric acid FOB Japan and South Korea (contract, spot) and FOB Japan and South Korea (contract) price assessments as of June 25

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued two sulfuric acid price assessments, effective June 25, 2025.

This decision for discontinuation follows a decision note published April 3, based on the limited activity and transparency in the sulfuric acid FOB Japan and South Korea contract market, as well as the presence of a parallel price assessment that assesses spot market activity for the same markets (FSAJB04).

Platts discontinues the following assessments:

Both discontinued assessments will no longer appear in the Sulfuric Acid Market Report, S&P Connect, and the Platts price database.

The last date of publication of the assessments was June 18, 2025.
