Description
The iBoxx Global Government Emerging Markets (USD Unhedged) is designed to measure the performance of investment grade sovereign debt issued by central governments of emerging markets. The index includes local currency-denominated bonds with minimum amounts outstanding that vary by country. Securities must have a minimum initial time to maturity of 18 months at issuance and a remaining time to maturity of at least one year at rebalancing. Countries must maintain a minimum market size of USD 50 billion, have GEMLOC scores above 50 for Securities Market Access and Capital Control and not be on EU or U.S. financial sanctions lists, unless sanctions apply only to specific individuals or government funds/transactions are unaffected by the sanctions.
