Description
The S&P GSCI Capped Component is designed to track the commodities market, while capping the highest-weight component at 32% and capping the remaining at 17% on a monthly basis. There are 18 components in the S&P GSCI that includes 24 specific commodities. Only 3 components, petroleum, wheat, and cattle, include more than 1 specific commodity. Capped excess are distributed proportionally among the remaining components without regard to sector weights.
