Standard BankGroup Ltd. said July 25 that it received a license to providebanking services in Côte d'Ivoire, Reuters reported the same day.

The South African lender, which trades as Stanbic Bank, did not,however, indicate by when it might commence operations in the Ivory Coast,Reuters noted, adding that with this license the bank has extended its reach to20 African countries.
