S&P Global Platts Asia metals assessments and Market on Close (MOC) process will be basis 12:30 pm Singapore time (0430 GMT) on Dec. 24. Europe assessments and MOC will be basis 12:30 pm London time on that day. The US aluminum Midwest transaction premium will be assessed basis 6:00 pm London time. US aluminum alloys/scrap and NY tin will be assessed once for the week on Dec. 21. US weekly assessments normally done on Friday will be assessed on Dec. 23. No NYMEX/COMEX prices will be published. Steel Price Report will not be published. No Americas ferrous scrap or steel assessments will be published.
On Dec. 27, Platts offices in London and Singapore will be closed in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will be no daily iron ore, coking coal, steel, alumina, and other nonferrous metals assessments published from Singapore and no daily CIF Japan Aluminum premium assessment. There will also be no Europe price assessments or assessments based on LME and no global Molybdenum Daily Dealer Oxide assessment. Steel Markets Daily will not be published on this day. There will be no US aluminum Midwest transaction premium assessed and US aluminum alloys/scrap will be assessed once for the week on Dec. 30. Steel Markets Daily, Steel Price Report and Metals Daily will not be published.
The London office will also be closed on Dec. 28 and Jan. 3, 2022 to observe the Boxing Day and New Years Day holidays. As such, there will be no Europe price assessments or assessments based on LME on these two days, no global Molybdenum Daily Dealer Oxide assessment and no EMEA dry freight assessments in Dry Freight Wire. The US aluminum Midwest transaction premium will not be assessed on Dec. 28.
There will also be no publication of CIF Japan spot and quarterly aluminum assessments on Dec. 28 and Jan. 3, as they follow Japan and UK holiday schedules.
Additionally, Platts in Asia will close its MOC assessment process early on Dec. 31, and all assessments will be basis 12:30 pm Singapore time (0430 GMT). There will be no assessments from Japan, including the daily CIF Japan aluminum premium assessment. Europe assessments and MOC will be basis 12:30 pm London time. Americas assessments and MOC will be basis 12:30 pm US eastern time. Brazilian weekly assessments normally done on Friday will be assessed on Dec. 30.
